Golf Links

They don't call Palm Springs the "golf capital of the world" for nothing. Not only are there more than 125 courses in the greater Palm Springs area, they’re also among the world's most beautiful. In fact, if you watch golf tournaments on television, you've already seen many of them.

Bel Air Greens
You don’t have to be a power golfer to successfully play the Seven Lakes Country Club 18-hole course in Palm Springs, California.  This short executive course has many trees lining its tight fairways, and there are sand bunkers that can alter your shots. Rather than emphasizing length, the challenging Seven Lakes course requires accuracy with medium and short irons. Long ball hitters can still “let the shaft out,” though, on a quartet of par four holes. You’ll be delighted with the hand-manicured course, and the beautiful mountain views in the background. The greens are fairly large, undulating and maintained at a medium speed. Most of the fairways are lined with condominiums, and the terrain is somewhat flat.

If you are interested in political trivia, you’ll be interested to know that
President Eisenhower made his only hole-in-one on #13, a 115-yard, par 3.
And since this is a private course, tee times are never needed. Designed by Ted Robinson, ASGCA, the Seven Lakes golf course opened in 1965.
